Our Mission and Values
At Allegro, our mission is to bring the arts to life by nurturing students, honoring their individual art, and learning style, and providing instruction and performance opportunities in music, theatre, and dance. We were founded on the value statement "all who enter shall Learn, Laugh, and Be Loved, " and we continue to be guided by these values today. Our passion is connecting our community to the arts, and we strive to develop the whole artist, whether they go on to a professional arts career or are involved in the arts for its enrichment in their lives.
Our History
Allegro was founded in 2004 by co-founders Cyndi & Marc Romero and Lachelle & Sam Yoder. The school opened in August 2004 in Nokesville, Virginia, as a Kindermusik facility and quickly began adding private instruction in voice, piano, and guitar. Over the years, we have grown and expanded, moving to larger facilities in Vint Hill Farm Station and Old Town Warrenton, and acquiring Excell Dance in 2020. Today, we offer instruction in all instruments, including piano, voice, guitar, percussion, and all band & orchestra instruments. We also offer an orchestra program that challenges three skill levels of players and a community theatre company that provides a vehicle for all the arts to come together. We continue to grow and meet the needs of our community, with three studio locations in Old Town Warrenton and a thriving community of artists and performers.
