Music With Mindy Learning Studio, located off North Main Street just outside of Mooresville, NC, offers a serene and peaceful environment for learning and growth. Our backyard setting is equipped with a "She Shed Studio" where students can sit comfortably and observe from the waiting area or take a moment to run a quick errand while waiting for their lesson to end. The studio is owned and operated by Mindy Arndt, a Board Certified Music Therapist with over 40 years of experience working with people of all ages and abilities.

Services Offered

At Music With Mindy Learning Studio, we offer a variety of services that cater to individuals with different needs and goals. These include:

1. Traditional Lessons: For students who wish to learn music through traditional teaching methods, we offer lessons in piano, flute, ukulele, and beginning guitar. These lessons are tailored to fit each student's learning style and pace.

2. Adaptive Lessons: For individuals who require a specialized approach to learning music, we provide adaptive lessons. These lessons are designed to meet the unique needs of each student, ensuring that they can learn and enjoy music despite any physical or cognitive challenges they may face.

3. Music Therapy: Music therapy is a form of treatment that uses music to help individuals achieve specific goals. It can be used to aid in the healing process, improve mood, enhance cognitive function, and promote emotional expression. Our music therapy services are tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual, whether they are children or adults.

Health Policy

At Music With Mindy Learning Studio, we prioritize the health and well-being of our students and staff. To ensure a safe and healthy environment, we have implemented the following health policy:

• Please wash your hands before arrival.
• Students with any sign of illness must cancel their lesson.
• Restroom is only available in an emergency.

Private Lesson Guidelines

We understand that every student learns differently and at their own pace. To ensure that each student receives the best possible instruction, we have established the following guidelines for private lessons:

• Practice: All students are expected to practice daily. Repetition is key to learning and proficiency.
• Lesson Times: Each student is assigned a lesson time for the school year. Lessons will begin and end on time. This will apply even if the student arrives late. Extending the lesson would infringe upon the time of another.
• Assignments: All students are expected to bring all of their lesson books to every lesson, including the Student Assignment Book. Parents! Please check the assignment book weekly for communications regarding schedule, payment, progress, etc. Assignments made should be accomplished within one week. If your student has the same assignment for multiple weeks, they may need to increase their practice time. Perfect practice makes perfect.

Attendance and Payment

We understand that sometimes unforeseen circumstances may arise, causing you to miss a lesson. If this happens, please notify us as soon as possible, even at the last minute. We will make a reasonable attempt to reschedule the lesson if you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Makeup lessons may be scheduled on scheduled makeup days, or during other lesson slots as they become available. All makeup lessons should occur before the end of the semester. If you forget a makeup lesson, it will not be rescheduled.

The cost for each lesson is $32. Adaptive lessons and therapy sessions are $35. Make checks payable to: Mindy Arndt. Mailing Address: 153 Picwyck Dr, Mooresville, NC 28115. Payment is due on the first of the month, unless you choose to pay at each lesson. Cash or Check only.
