Anita Ehrler's Music Extensions

Welcome to AEDE Performing Arts Studio, the home for dance and singing opportunities in Bergen County, New Jersey. We take pride in providing a setting that encourages the growth and development of young artists. Our founders, Anita Ehrler and Frank Mastrocola, have extensive experience in the performing arts as students, professionals, and teachers. They have built a strong legacy that continues to inspire and educate new generations of performers.

Owner Profiles

The husband and wife team of Dan and Elizabeth Mueller are the current owners of AEDE Performing Arts Studio. Dan, a River Vale, NJ native, started dancing at AEDE at seven years old and continued until he went off to college to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. After graduation, Dan returned to AEDE as a teacher, choreographer, and Associate Competition Director. Elizabeth was a high school English teacher for 13 years and brings her knowledge and understanding of children and compassion for students to AEDE. Together, they provide a nurturing environment that guides performers to achieve their absolute best.

Founders

Co-founder Anita Ehrler has been involved in the dance world for over 30 years as a student, professional dancer, and teacher. She trained with Joan Miller of the Palm Beach Ballet and Cuban Ballerina Cuka Martinez and performed with the David Wright Dance Company of Miami. After moving to New York, Anita received a scholarship to the Harkness Ballet School. She went on to perform on Broadway in Bob Fosse's Dancin' and Chicago, as well as in films and TV shows, including "Annie", "A Chorus Line", and "The Guiding Light". As an assistant/associate choreographer, she worked on numerous projects with her mentor, Ronn Forella.

Co-founder Frank Mastrocola started his career at age 12 as a musician and singer in a local rock band. He later attended the Boston Conservatory of Music as a dance major. Frank's professional career has included appearances with Rudolf Nureyev and the Boston Ballet, Chita Rivera, Liza Minelli, and Bob Fosse on Broadway, and in films such as "A Chorus Line" and "Pippin". He has also appeared on TV shows, including "Live with Regis and Kathi Lee" and "The Guiding Light".

Services

At AEDE Performing Arts Studio, we offer a range of services to support the growth and development of young artists:

• DANCE: Our dance program offers a variety of class descriptions and schedules for all levels of dancers. We provide a foundation that supports students who are interested in the performing arts. For the more serious dancer, AEDE maintains a competition company that requires dedication and commitment.

• VOICE/PIANO MUSIC: Our voice studios are equipped with pianos and video cameras. Our voice services cater to students looking to improve their singing and performance abilities.

• SUMMER AT AEDE!: Our summer program offers a range of activities and classes to keep students engaged and learning during the summer months.
