Our founder, Bill Steel, learned his craft from the late Wayne Trainor of Gladstone, Missouri. Bill has been working with beautiful instruments on a daily basis for many years, and he has developed a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the mechanics of stringed instruments. He is committed to providing quality craftsmanship at fair prices, and he continues to hone his skills and expand his knowledge in the field.

In addition to repair and restoration services, we also carry a wide range of products to match any budget. We have violins, violas, cellos, and basses to suit different skill levels and preferences, as well as their respective bows. We are an authorized Aria stand light dealer, and we also carry a variety of accessories such as shoulder rests, rosin, and music stand lights.

Our shop is located in Kansas City, Missouri, but we serve clients from all over the metropolitan area and beyond. If you are unable to visit our shop in person, we are happy to work with you remotely to address any instrument concerns or challenges. We can provide estimates and consultations over the phone or via email, and we can ship instruments and accessories to anywhere in the continental United States.
