As a premier music school and lessons studio, we've been dedicated to providing the highest quality music instruction in the Thousand Oaks area for over 15 years. Our mission is to assist professional private music instructors in growing and maintaining successful studios, while fostering a higher standard of music education for students in the greater Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village area.

What Makes Us Different

Unlike other music schools and retail stores, we don't directly employ our teachers. Instead, our teachers are independent professionals who own and operate their own teaching studios and rent our facilities as needed. This sustainable relationship attracts established, high-quality artists with experience and reduces teacher turnover and burnout - a better scenario for both our teachers and their students.

Our History

Thousand Oaks Musicians' Studio LLC was founded in January 2007 as Iced Pita Music Lessons Inc. by a husband-and-wife team, Tyson Marquardt and Heidi Yost Marquardt, who built the studio from the ground up for Heidi's personal piano and vocal students. Over the years, the studio has grown and transferred ownership to one of its own long-time woodwind teachers, Brian Clements-Tiberio, who has rebranded it and continues to strive for an open and vibrant music community.

We know that your top priority is to find a great music teacher, so we hand-pick every private instructor who's invited to teach in our community. Our teachers undergo a rigorous selection process, ensuring that they meet our high standards for qualifications, experience, and teaching skills.

Our Teachers

Our music teachers are dedicated professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise with students of all ages and skill levels. They offer private lessons in a variety of instruments, including voice, piano, violin, viola, cello, clarinet, flute, saxophone, trombone, euphonium, and more.

Instructors' Policies

Each instructor has their own policies regarding cancellations, tuition, and practice expectations. It's essential to review and understand these policies before starting lessons. Our instructors aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment, where students can grow and progress at their own pace.

Our Open Door Policy

We believe that parents should have the right to make decisions about their child's music education. Our instructors maintain an open-door policy, allowing parents to observe lessons or discuss their child's progress with their instructor. We believe this transparency fosters trust and strengthens the parent-teacher-student relationship.
