Business Details
We founded Music Academy in 2009 after decades of professional performance and instructional experience. Our director, Brian Roughton, began classical guitar studies in 1988 and earned a Master of Music from Yale School of Music in 1997. Since opening our first private studio in 1998, we have grown to serve over 100 students across multiple disciplines. We provide one-on-one instruction in guitar, piano, strings, voice, brass, winds, and percussion for learners aged five to seventy-five. Our faculty includes university-level instructors who maintain active performance and composition careers. We structure each weekly thirty-minute lesson to build technical proficiency while fostering a lifelong appreciation for music.
Our curriculum balances rigorous skill development with personalized pacing to meet individual goals. We host regular public recitals that give students concrete performance experience and measurable progress markers. Our teaching philosophy emphasizes habit formation that leads to lasting success beyond the lesson room. We remain committed to transparent tuition rates and flexible scheduling to accommodate every family's needs. Our studio operates by appointment Monday through Friday, ensuring dedicated attention for each session. We invite you to experience the difference that conservatory-trained mentorship makes in your musical journey.
