Our Services

We offer a wide range of services, including sales, repairs, and accessories. We carry a vast selection of new and vintage instruments, including Weltmeister, Hohner, Sophia Marie, Dino Baffetti, and Giulietti, as well as many rebuilt vintage instruments. We also stock a substantial collection of Concertinas, Melodicas, and Harmonicas. Additionally, we provide in-store lessons for both Chromatic and Piano accordions.

Repairs and Maintenance

Our expert technicians are skilled in the art of accordion repair and maintenance. We offer a 90-day to one-year warranty on all used instruments and a one- to three-year warranty on new instruments, including those from reputable brands such as Weltmeister and Dino Baffetti. We also provide a 6- to 12-month warranty on all used instruments and a one- to three-year warranty on new instruments.

History and Developments

The accordion has a rich history, dating back over 200 years. Its development is attributed to the free reed family, which includes Harmoniums, Chemnitzers, Bandeoneons, Melodicas, Harmonicas, Pump Organs, Harmoniums, and Concertinas. The Piano Accordion, in particular, has a fascinating history, with early developments in Austria, France, and Italy.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance are essential to keep your accordion in top condition. At Smythe's Accordion Center, we recommend regular cleaning to prevent dust and debris from accumulating. For more extensive cleaning, we recommend using the following methods: automotive polishing compound, rubbing compound for deeper scratches, and a stiff brush for cleaning the inner folds of the bellows.
