Business Details
We are Too Loud Sound, a boutique music studio and instrument repair shop founded by Ed Jones. Ed began his musical journey in 1964, mastering the Beatles by ear on a twostring Harmony guitar. By age eleven he was performing in bands, and after three decades of touring he transitioned to live sound and digital recording. In 2001 he embraced digital technology with a Roland 8track and later a Mac running Cubase 3.0, establishing the studios technical foundation. The name Too Loud Sound emerged during a soundcheck when patrons repeatedly said Too Loud, cementing our brand. Today we offer stateoftheart guitar and keyboard lessons in two soundproof rooms equipped with Cubase 8.5, Steinberg interfaces, and studio monitors. Our lessons record to USB drives, providing students with instant playback and detailed progress tracking.
Beyond teaching, we record, mix, and master projects ranging from solo artists to full orchestras, utilizing industryclass gear such as RME, AllenHeath, and Universal Audio preamps. Our mobile recording service brings professional sound to concerts, churches, and school events, complete with a full backline and highquality microphones. We also repair and restore vintage guitars and amplifiers, restoring models like the 1963 Musicmaster and 1966 Stratocaster to their original glory. With more than thirty years of handson experience, we are dedicated to keeping music culture alive and ensuring every clients musical vision is realized.
