At the San Jose Academy of Music, our mission is to provide an exceptional music education in a professional, personal, and nurturing environment. Programs

Private Music Lessons

Our private music lessons are designed for students of all ages and abilities. Our lessons emphasize instrument technique, music theory, and performance skills to help you achieve your musical aspirations.

In-Studio Private and Group Lessons

We offer private one-on-one lessons for a range of instruments, including piano, voice, violin, guitar, bass, ukulele, drums, harp, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, theory, composition, audio recording, and music production. Our instructors provide personalized instruction, emphasizing instrument technique, posture, ear-training, and music theory. We also offer group lessons, which provide a fun and collaborative environment for students to learn and grow together.

Special Needs Lessons

At the San Jose Academy of Music, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the joy of music-making. Our special needs lessons are designed specifically for children with autism and other special needs requirements. Our instructors work closely with students to develop their piano technique, music reading, listening, rhythm, and following directions skills.

Scheduling and Expectations

We ask that students come to their scheduled lessons on time and prepared to learn.
