Mountainside Music Academy

As a grandmother who wanted to give my grandson, Jackson, additional support in his early musical exploration, I decided to seek lessons with Mountainside Music Academy. I can say that so far everything is going well for him. Jackson is really enjoying his weekly trombone lessons with Zoe. She seems easy to work with, communicates well with him and is really supportive and encouraging while challenging him to be more bold in his play.

He likes to do well so it's nice to see him pushing himself to improve, she seems to be motivating him. He smiles and seems really happy when he talks about his lessons. He has even played a few "concerts" for the family. So far we are very pleased with the experience, and it is wonderful to see him enjoying playing his trombone.

Ohad has been a fantastic piano teacher! He comes to my house in Boulder weekly and puts a lot of thought and structure into our lessons. I am brand new to the piano, and Ohad has made it exciting and intuitive to learn the basics. Looking forward to continuing with him.

Camden comes to our house in Gunbarrel and teaches piano to our 5 year old son and 8 year old daughter. So far it's been great! He keeps them engaged and interested as he teaches them the language of music.

Upon my retirement, having time on my hands, I decided to return to playing the piano after an absence from the instrument of almost 25 years. I had previously taken lessons as an adult learner and gained some limited proficiency, but had to quit as the demands of work and life took over. Now having spent the past couple of years coming back up to speed on the instrument, I felt that I could use some help to advance further than I had previously and contacted Mountainside Music Academy. Mountainside connected me to Paul Zeller, who now comes to my house weekly.

The experience has been fantastic. I love playing on my own piano and in surroundings in which I am comfortable. Paul is an excellent teacher: friendly, knowledgable, patient, and able to approach problems from a variety of different perspectives. As an adult learner, it's clear I will never be making waves as a musician - but, that's not really the point.

Some instructors, however, could see this and quickly lose interest in guiding my efforts. Not Paul, he approaches each lesson with passion and a sincere interest in helping me achieve as much as I can. I am really fortunately to have found him through Mountainside Music Academy.

We have LOVED our experience with Mountainside music. Our 13 year old is thriving in guitar, and she looks forward to every lesson because she excited to learn new techniques. She had been teaching herself over the past few years off and on, but Now with teaching and new techniques she doesnt want to out the guitar down. Our teacher is Daniel Florez, who does a fantastic job of encouraging her and showing her new proper technique so that she can go further. We live in Lafayette, Co. 100% recommend!

My 8 yo daughter has been taking piano lessons with Paul Zeller for two months. Her proficiency in playing and reading music has accelerated and she really enjoys it.

Weve enjoyed having Taylor teach our daughter violin. Its super convenient that she comes to our home in Boulder. Taylor is relatable and friendly, and knows how to teach a beginner student. Recommend her highly!

Dr. Paul Zeller is a master pianist and an outstanding, dedicated teacher. If you are interested in finding the best piano teacher for yourself or your child, look no further. My children wait by the door for him to arrive and as soon as he leaves, ask, "When will Dr. Paul be back?"

My son, Michael is enjoying his beginning classical guitar lessons with Elliot at Mountainside Music. Elliot is a formally trained guitarist as well as a patient and skilled teacher. Thank you, Elliott, for making Michael's first lessons a positive experience!

I cannot recommend Becca highly enough as a music instructor! She has been teaching our boys saxophone and piano for the past few months and we are so impressed with her professionalism and skill. Becca is always on-time for lessons and comes to our house, which is incredibly convenient for our busy family. Her warm and friendly demeanor immediately put our boys at ease and they have made amazing progress under her tutelage.

What sets Becca apart is her ability to teach with patience and clarity, making complex musical concepts accessible to our boys. She is an experienced musician herself and her passion for music shines through in every lesson. My son has been working with Evi on Trumpet for the last few months and has made amazing progress. We love that he comes to our house in Longmont and he has made starting a new instrument an easy process. My son has gone from not being able to play a note to reading simple songs with a clear tone in just a few weeks.

My daughter takes lessons with James for cello at our home in Broomfield. James is such a patient, knowledgeable teacher! He's great with our daughter! Working with Mountainside is also easy - its so convenient to have the teacher come to us!

Great Music School! My son got to love playing the piano thanks to his awesome teacher Lizzie French. He also loves playing in piano recitals that Lizzie organizes in Boulder. I strongly recommend Mountainside Music Academy.

Darian has given my kids a great first introduction to piano. He is kind and patient and my kids are really enjoying learning and progressing each week. Mountainside's at-home lessons and pay-as-you-go model has been a great fit for our busy family.

Mountainside Music Academy is an amazing resource for quality music lessons of all types of instruments, voice, and theory. Both of my kids have taken lessons in voice, piano, and music theory for years with MMA and have gained skill, technique, and confidence while really enjoying their lessons. The teachers are very talented musicians and know how to tailor lessons to what each student needs.

A great bonus, when in person classes resume, is that the music teachers will come to you, which makes it one less driving trip for parents! I highly recommend it for beginner through advanced learners.

My daughters voice and piano teacher was outstanding. I love that she came to the house. So convenient! I dont think we could ever go back to going out for lessons. I especially loved that the approach to vocal training honored and preserved the uniqueness of my daughters voice, while expanding her range and control. She got kind and constructive feedback on her songwriting that always made her songs stronger.

What I loved best was the joyful laughter and positive emotions that were generated during lessons! Mountainside Music Academy was the foundation of a love for music making in my daughter. I am so grateful we stumbled upon them.
