At the Lawson Piano Studio, we are dedicated to providing each and every student with the opportunity to succeed in their individual piano playing goals. With over thirty years of experience in music, my husband and I, Jerrold and Betty Lawson, are passionate about teaching piano to students of all ages and levels in the Tucson/Marana area.

We take pride in using traditional teaching methods, along with innovative techniques to make learning piano fun and rewarding for our students. Our studio is equipped with an innovative at-home computer laboratory, which provides an exciting and engaging way for students to learn music notation, music reading, rhythm, music/composer history, sight reading, ear-training, and composition.

We believe that piano study is an essential part of a child's education, as it promotes discipline, supports cognitive skills, and enhances overall development. For adults, learning to play the piano can be a rewarding experience that offers a break from the stress and challenges of daily life.

At the Lawson Piano Studio, we value each unique student and pledge to walk with them on an exciting discovery as they learn to love and play the piano. We strive to create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters growth, creativity, and confidence.

Our Approach

Our approach to teaching piano is centered around creating a personalized learning experience for each student. We believe that every student has a unique learning style, and we employ a variety of innovative methods to enhance each individual's educational experience. With many years of experience and a love for music, we are committed to helping our students achieve their goals and make lifelong memories.

Services

We offer private piano lessons for students of all ages and levels. Our weekly private lessons are 45 minutes in length (one hour for the advanced student). Each student is offered basic methods and supplemental training in the following areas:

The Lawsons

My husband, Jerrold Lawson, has over thirty years of involvement in music. With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Houston Baptist University, he has a deep understanding of music and a passion for teaching. With many years of experience teaching piano privately, he has helped countless students achieve their goals and develop a lifelong love for music.

As a team, Jerrold and I (Betty Lawson) work together to create a warm and supportive environment that fosters growth, creativity, and confidence. We believe that music has the power to transform and uplift, and we are committed to sharing that gift with our students.
