Empowering Creativity, One Note at a Time

At Flying Hands Music & Voice School, we pride ourselves on providing top-notch music education to students of all ages and skill levels. Our story began in 1997 when our founder, Brian Curella, opened the doors to what would become a beloved institution in the music community.

As a passionate musician himself, Brian recognized the importance of sharing his love for music with others. He began teaching private lessons while still in his mid-twenties and found an incredible sense of fulfillment helping people of all ages discover the joy of music making.

Our Mission

Our mission is to foster a supportive and encouraging environment where students can grow and develop their musical talents. Our Instructors

Reviews
Positive: Many clients had positive experiences with patient and talented instructors.
Negative: Some clients experienced communication issues and inconsistent lessons.

Teaching Quality and Patience

The reviews highlight the varying levels of teaching quality and patience among the instructors. Don is praised for being "super patient and a great teacher" who provides "reasonable cost" guitar lessons. On the other hand, the instructor Brian seems to be overwhelmed, unable to remember a scheduled lesson and not providing a guitar as promised. Patrick, another instructor, is commended for being "amazing" and having "20 years of practice."

Communication Issues

Communication issues arise when clients attempt to schedule lessons. All Saints Classic mentions a lack of follow-through by the instructors, stating that no one knew about their scheduled lesson or that their son needed a guitar. Paul Guthrie also experiences communication issues, citing no-shows from teachers and communication problems.

Consistency

The consistency of lessons is a concern for some clients. Paul Guthrie's daughters have experienced inconsistent learnings due to no-shows from teachers and communication issues. However, Don's lessons seem to be consistent, as the client has been going for a few weeks.

Overall Experience

The overall experience at the music school varies greatly. Shawn Torres had an "amazing" time taking guitar lessons from Pat, citing the instructor's humor and talent. Mary Dunaway feels "definitely" continuing her lessons with Don. On the other hand, All Saints Classic had a disappointing experience, feeling that the instructors are "too busy."
