Business Details
We are Daniel and Amy Carwile, nationally acclaimed violin instructors and leaders of Carwile String Studio in Lexington, Kentucky. Our studio was established in 2003 in Nashville, Tennessee, before we relocated to Lexington in early 2004, where we have built a thriving, community-focused music program. We bring over 50 combined years of professional violin teaching and performance experience to every student we work with. Both of us are certified O'Connor Method instructors, and Amy is also a certified Suzuki Violin Method instructor, allowing us to offer diverse, evidence-based teaching approaches. We have been recognized as two-time Studio Teacher of the Year by the Kentucky Chapter of the American String Teachers Association for our commitment to instructional excellence. Our students have earned prestigious accolades including acceptance to elite summer music festivals such as Brevard, Interlochen, Tanglewood, and Sewanee. We have guided students to win 5 national and 5 grand master fiddle championships across 14 U.S. states.
Our students have performed at iconic venues including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. We are proud members of the Kentucky Performing Artists Directory and are endorsed by D'Addario Strings, reflecting our standing in the professional music community. We prioritize creating a positive, enthusiastic, and nurturing learning environment that encourages artistic expression and personal enrichment for every student. We are committed to empowering our students with the technical skills, creative confidence, and lifelong love of music needed to succeed in their musical journeys.
